Finding the right Aged Care Services

Help your loved one find the right aged care services

Ageing is one of those inevitable events in life, and among its many beautiful things, it has its challenges affecting families in deeper ways

When we imagine our parents or relatives as older people, we may not understand fully how much their ageing experience will affect them, and how it will affect us.

Getting older is a unique experience and can fluctuate greatly. Some people age in more obvious ways and require intense long-term assistance, while others experience it slowly and progressively, allowing them to enjoy their independence for longer.

Those who have been carers know how hard it can be at times supporting an elder relative, a parent, or a loved one to age as comfortably, independently, and vibrantly as possible. There are many challenges involved – from having tough conversations to sometimes experiencing frustration, impatience or guilt as you navigate this new territory. Carers can often feel scared and lonely at times.

Help your loved one find the right aged care services

Everyone, at every age desires a life of good health, love, dignity, independence and peace

Taking a moment to think about how much care your aging parent or family member really needs can help you support their ageing journey in the most respectful way possible, while also taking care of your individual emotional, mental and physical needs.

Residential Respite Care

We see every day the dedication and commitment involved with full-time care and understand how essential it is for you to take a break.

We offer short term aged care respite onsite and at home if you need it. Giving you peace of mind while you allow your loved ones to receive the care they need.

Residential Respite Care is when Olivet Care takes care of your loved one for a short-term period in our facilities. You can feel at ease knowing your loved one will receive the individual care and attention they need tailoring to their specific situation. This is a good alternative to allow you to take a break from your caring role and arrange planned breaks, short holidays, medical procedures, and any other personal and important activity. It can also be accessed in emergencies if you need it.

With our residents at the centre of everything we do, we focus on compassion, kindness, and respect to deliver an exceptional residential care experience.

Our programs provide clients with a sense of community, encouraging socialisation and independence, participating in daily activities, and forming friendships with others. It’s reassuring support for families or friends concerned about a loved one living alone or alone during the day.

Our centre based respite program allows you to provide your primary caregiver with an opportunity to take some time out for themselves, while you connect with other like-minded individuals, join social activities or receive support and care at Olivet’s Ringwood facilities.

The program operates during the day in Olive Grove House.

The day centre program features a range of social events, entertainment, activities and more. We aim to help those living independently or isolated live a full and healthy life, with a focus on kindness, compassion, responsibility, and respect.

Dementia & Memory Support Residential Care

Memory loss and early signs of dementia can disrupt your daily life in many different ways. You may feel distracted, have trouble with ordinary activities like preparing a meal, experience difficulty finding your way in a familiar place or struggle to manage your finances.

If this sounds familiar, you may be going through the early symptoms of dementia.

Early symptoms can vary a great deal and some can be very subtle. It’s normal to occasionally miss or forget specific information such as appointments or phone numbers, but for early symptoms of dementia, these symptoms are more recurrent and tend to increase over time. If you notice any signs, don’t ignore them and schedule an appointment with your doctor. In case of a diagnosis, don’t despair. We are here to support you every step of the way.

We understand seeking early support could be a difficult decision, with a lot to consider, so If you’re considering specialised care, Olivet’s dementia services may be a good option to consider.

At Olivet Care, we can provide specialised dementia care for you in the comfort of your home or as a resident of our facilities. With a focus on compassion, kindness, responsibility, and respect, we’re dedicated to your wellbeing and independence.
