A Fresh Chapter for Olivet Care: Our New Kitchen Opens

We are thrilled to announce that the brand-new Olivet Care main kitchen is officially complete, a milestone that marks an exciting new chapter for our community.

While the gleaming appliances and modern fit out are cause for celebration, our greatest pride lies in the people behind the meals: the incredible Olivet Kitchen and Catering Staff. Over the past four months, they have shown extraordinary resilience, relocating food preparation, adapting processes and working through constant change, all without missing a beat. Every single day, they continued to serve hundreds of residents, staff and visitors with healthy, delicious meals made with heart.

At Olivet, we know that food is more than nourishment. In aged care, nutritious and interesting meals are essential to wellbeing, dignity and joy. A thoughtfully prepared meal can spark conversation, bring comfort and create moments of connection. That’s why we take immense pride in ensuring every meal is not only balanced and wholesome, but also full of flavour and variety.

With the new kitchen now handed over, our catering team has been busy testing appliances and transitioning back from their temporary workspace. From December 1, cooking resumed in the heart of Olivet, just in time to bring festive cheer to our community this Christmas.

This project has been significant, but it is the dedication of our Chef Manager, Tatjana, and her team that has truly made it a success. Their flexibility, teamwork and unwavering commitment have ensured that even during renovations, those in our care enjoyed tasty, nourishing meals every day.
